What we get up to now Piglet goes to bed….

I’ve intrigued you haven’t I ?

Well sorry to disappoint ha ha, well actually some of you, might actually find it interesting.. hmm

So Piglet at 7 months started to go down at an actual bed time, in her crib….

We started this off with a celebratory Maccy D’s, the nights that have followed, you would think we would use this time to get through some box sets maybe, or have a conversation about our day…

Erm nope.. so far

  • Boxed up some unnecessary clutter
  • Dusted shelves and bookacse
  • Folded clothes
  • Cleaned kitchen floor
  • Washing up
  • Reminisced about the nights, where piglet would be on me, asleep on the nursing pillow, until 1am.. sob sob
  • Not once have we, got an early night to get a full night of zzzz, I think the earliest is 11.45pm.. when will we learn!
  • Hubby completed a 1000 black & white piece puzzle, so rock n roll…hmmm
  • Catched up on Homeland
  • I’ve tried to read more, you should see the pile of books awaiting my attention, all of which found by the fab squares on insta
  • Scrolled the squares on insta
  • Cleaned the bathroom
  • Watched piglet intensely on her monitor..

Please tell me, that everyone’s evenings are like this and I’m not completely alone.. in the most boring life contest ha ha

If anyone has any suggestions (clean suggests please.. wink wink) that myself or the hubby can do with our well deserved evenings, then comment below 🙂

Easter fun at Bocketts Farm

IMG_1516

Its a wet and windy Good Friday, what else would you do, then venture to a farm for Easter!

Bocketts is a great farm, south of Leatherhead, in the heart of Surrey, 5 mins from junction 9 of the M25.

It wasn’t as busy as we thought, but I suppose, the weather does put people off. Luckily we managed to get a car park space by the entrance, they do have lots of parking. (if you do find yourself in the field car parks, be prepared for a little walk).

Its £11 for adults, Free for under 2’s, £9.70 for 2 years and £11.50 for 3 years – 17 years, for more information on prices including deals like after school prices check out there website here

In true piglet style, she wanted food the minute we paid, so I went to sit and feed, while Monkey and daddy went to the young drivers zone for under 5’s, lots of vehicles, mainly tractors to race around. Then a cheeky brew and yummy egg cupcake mmmm

It was time to go see some of the animals, we had timing to a T, as it was petting time! Gorgeous bunnies, guinea pigs, ducklings and a goat! I was more excited than the kiddies there! haha

We then ventured outside to the Big animal barn, at this time of year its where the Lambing happens, again we had our times spot on, Martin the Shepard was about to talk to everyone about the process and give an insight into such a lovely time of year!

He explained that ewes (name for lady sheep) are pregnant for 5 months, you could say its pretty lucky! although i’m not sure once I had given birth to my babies, that I would of appreciated 20 or so adults and kids, watching, taking photos and holding my new born!

The sheep are coloured at time of conception so they know which batch they are (roughly know what time they will give birth), they also have a colour given once they have been scanned, so the Shepard knows what they are carrying, single, twins etc.

He asked everyone questions, I was right in there, eager to answer away, didn’t get any right, I might add, but the 6 year old next to me was smashing it! she clearly listened better than me, ha ha

Then for the best bit, cuddles with a gorgeous lamb, Monkey was so excited, its definitely different to holding a new born! Some of these lambs were only hours and some days old!

Piglet got to see the gorgeous animal that her nickname came from, look at them all snug together keeping warm, too cute!

Piglet again wanted some boobing, so we went back to the main area.

So you know there are amazing things to see outside, lots more animals, but also 2 massive play areas, including the floor trampolines (jumping pillows). They have Pig races, tractor rides, pony rides and feeding times, check out the website for more information.

Inside before giving piglet some food, Monkey, Piglet and I went on the indoor trampolines (free) you get 3 mins, depending on how many people are waiting! The kids loved it, was great having a bounce, felt so young again, ha ha

Monkey went in the soft play (the play barn) they have, while I boobed piglet, there is so much to do, to keep them entertained, it had quietened down, so he pretty much had the whole soft play to himself.

As a last activity, before we headed home, and as its Easter! They not only had an Easter egg hunt, but a craft corner, my inner child came to life! OK well not as much as Martin, boy did he get competitive! They had badge making, Easter hats, and making animals out of cups! Each of us made two each (free) lots of sticking and cutting. I said we made two each but where monkey and I managed two in the time, Martin took that long and was so particular he made one, ha ha

Wonder if you can guess who’s is who’s !!!

We had such a fab day, there was so much to do! I’m glad its turning into a little tradition coming here at Easter! Can’t wait until piglets bigger to appreciate all the animals.

I would highly recommend coming here, regardless of weather, but you can do more when its that little bit nicer!
